SHADE-IN is involved in educational advocacy

SHADE-IN was part of the Conference of Non-Governmental Organisations (CONGOs) team who went on a fact finding visit to one of the public secondary schools in Benin City, Edo State on 12th June, 2018. From the Left : Bliss Ojeruse ( SHADE-IN ), Solomon Ohiomokhai ( REMO Foundation ), Mrs Abiola Idufueko ( CONGOs President ) The visit was prompted by an issue reported, of a student sitting for National Examinations Council (NECO) exam, who returned home with a blank ID card. This was a thing of concern as it poses suspicion that this process aids examination malpractice. This discovery was taken up by CONGOs being raised by a member of the Conference. During the visit, it was discovered that the ID card issued was an initiative to cover up for the lapses of NECO, as the team was informed that the ID card was done for formality. SHADE-IN participates in a capacity building session of CONGOs

SHADE-IN participates in a capacity building session of CONGOs Saving Hand Development Initiative (SHADE-IN), an NGO into youth education, leadership development, value re-orientation and neighborhood transformation was part of the first capacity building session of Conference of Non-Governmental Organisations (CONGOs), organised by the new Executive members. The session which was part of the Conference's general meeting, held on 5th June, 2018 and Dr. Paul Oyarenua of Kairos Initiative facilitated on the title: "Starting and Sustaining an NGO in Nigeria". The general meeting started by 10:36am and ended by 1:00am with the capacity session taking about 40 minutes of the time. During the meeting, the Executive Director (Programmes) of SHADE-IN and Director of Strategy, Research and Planning, CONGOs, Bliss Ojeruse, presented a report on the analysis on organisational capacity questionnaires issued to members during the general meeting held on 3rd April, 2018.

SHADE-IN joins CONGOs' team, visits the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki SHADE-IN's Executive Director (Programmes) and Director of Strategy, Research and Planning of Conference of Non-Governmental Organisations (CONGOs), Bliss Ojeruse, was part of the Conference representatives, the newly elected Executives, who went on a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki on 28th May, 2018. International Workers/Labour Day Celebration: Reflection on Responsibilities

Saving Hand Development Initiative (SHADE-IN) on this special day,  wish to felicitate with workers as they celebrate this day set aside to focus on workers' role in nation building. From the left: Richard Eruotor, David Rotimi, Roland Ojeruse The theme of the 2018 International Workers' Day is: “Uniting Workers for Social and Economic Advancement”. We seize this opportunity to call on all Nigerian workers from the top of the hierarchy to the base to resolve in contributing meaningfully to their work better than before, so as to generate greater profit for their organisation, hence, advancing the socio-economic aspects of the nation. We especially call on public servants to add diligence, innovation, creativity, selflessness, accountability, transparency and integrity to their work as they collaborate with trade unions to enhance social and economic development. Particularly, we shout out to all teachers who are the builders of foundations and nations, who are the
