Nigeria Can Be Great Again: Great Youths, Great People, Great Nation!

We believe in Nigeria! We believe in the Nigerian Youth! We pledge our commitment to invest our resources into Youth Education, Leadership Development, Value Reorientation and Neighborhood Transformation. That's what we stand for. Nigeria can be great again. There is still hope for Nigeria. There is hope for the Nigerian. There is hope for the Nigerian Youth.

Amidst the dissatisfaction in the outcome of Nigeria at 60, it calls for gratitude that Nigeria is not utterly destroyed. Conquer anger with love; love yourself, love others, love Nigeria, love God.

We call on our leaders to serve the citenzenry with the heart of true leadership, solving the obvious problems in Nigeria strategically; focusing on EDUCATION, as a bedrock for development, because we believe that EDUCATION cuts across all sectors and can facilitate the change we all seek for tremendously.

We also passionately call on Nigerian Youths, to keep investing in their personal development, in their education and morality.

In Saving Hand Development Initiative (SHADE-IN), we believe that each individual is a potential nation. You are a nation and you can be bigger than Nigeria. Don't limit yourself with the limitations around you. Press on. Keep being a better you. You can make it against all odds. You can rise, yes, even with the right values. You don't have to be immoral or imbibe the wrong values to be successful. No, you don't; because you are a nation yourself. What do you dream about your own nation, which begins with you?

Happy Independence Day to the Nigerian Youth! By the time you are 60 years old as your own nation, I pray that you will recall this day and be grateful that you invested in Yourself.

Above all, you cannot afford to ignore the God-factor. Embrace God Almighty as Your only God. Believe in Him. Accept His Gift to Mankind. Keep Faith in Him through His Word. Do what He asks you to do. And you are sure to succeed.

Welcome to October, your month of Independence, Freedom and Exploits. Happy Independence Day from the Board of Trustees and management and members of SHADE-IN.

International Day of Conscience: When Moral Outrage Misfires – A Case Study in Ethical Activism

Abstract On this International Day of Conscience, we reflect on the delicate balance between righteous indignation and ethical responsibility. This article examines a 2025 incident in Nigeria where an activist’s public confrontation of a struggling mother and her 11‐year‐old daughter escalated into a humiliating episode.  The case, which involved the exposure of the child’s face in violation of child protection guidelines, ultimately led to a public apology from the activist and compassionate intervention from well-meaning Nigerians including the famous chess player and philanthropist Tunde Onakoya, and the founder of Buchymix, who stepped in and offered to support the child’s education and the family's welfare, including accomodation.  Through this analysis, we explore the complexities of activism that neglects empathy and the need for a conscientious approach in public discourse. Introduction Conscience guides us in differentiating right from wrong, yet its application in pu...
