ROLAND OJERUSE
Roland Ojeruse holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics Electronics from Niger Delta University, Amassoma, Bayelsa State. He is currently the branch manager of Sungas Company Limited, Benin City, Edo State. He has worked in different capacity as a leader at various levels and seasoned teacher of Mathematics and Physics. He was awarded the most influential teacher in Preston International School Akure, Nigeria in 2011. He is very passionate about creating a new generation of people free of corruption, unemployment, poverty etc. He is the Pioneer of BlissWin, now the educational project of Saving Hand Development Initiative. He has used is wealth of knowledge gathered so far to empower young Nigerians through missions, seminars, trainings etc. He hopes to actualize his dream of fighting unemployment, poverty and corruption and to help put smiles on faces around the globe. He has a great interest in organizational leadership and hope to further a career in that direction.

BLISS JIM-ODOI


Bliss is an Assistant Programme Officer in Participatory Partnerships for Community Development (PPCD), Warri Delta State. She studied Computer Science in Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State; she has been involved in community development work and missions for two years with the Saving Hand Commission, now registered as Saving Hand Development Initiative, an NGO she pioneered after her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Ekiti State. She is proficient in the use of the computer and loves working with graphics. She hopes to enhance her career in Information Technology and Project Management and to contribute to global transformation.

DEACON ADEBISI.A.ADEOSUN
Over the past 22 years Deacon Adebisi. A.Adeosun has practiced as an environmental consultant and participated in several environmental studies (EIAs, PIAs, EERs, etc.) in Nigeria and most of the projects are located in the Niger Delta area. He has had responsibilities to prepare technical and financial proposals in tender processes for all jobs he has participated in; He has also been responsible for assembling a team of consultants for each contract and managing the entire process including, writing the appropriate report for the work.

BARRISTER BERNARD OLUWAFEMI JEMILOHUN
Barrister Bernard Oluwafemi Jemilohun is a lecturer at the Ekiti State University. He has both his first and second degree in Law from University of Lagos, Akoka. He operates private Legal office in the name B. Femi Jemilohun & Associates and has operated in different capacity of office including as a Sub-Dean, Faculty of Law (2007 – 2009). A Facilitator in Trainings/Seminars & Conferences and conduct free counseling to young people, Bible Teaching, Public Speaking on various contemporary issues and Legal consultancy

International Day of Conscience: When Moral Outrage Misfires – A Case Study in Ethical Activism

Abstract On this International Day of Conscience, we reflect on the delicate balance between righteous indignation and ethical responsibility. This article examines a 2025 incident in Nigeria where an activist’s public confrontation of a struggling mother and her 11‐year‐old daughter escalated into a humiliating episode.  The case, which involved the exposure of the child’s face in violation of child protection guidelines, ultimately led to a public apology from the activist and compassionate intervention from well-meaning Nigerians including the famous chess player and philanthropist Tunde Onakoya, and the founder of Buchymix, who stepped in and offered to support the child’s education and the family's welfare, including accomodation.  Through this analysis, we explore the complexities of activism that neglects empathy and the need for a conscientious approach in public discourse.
