Universal Children’s Day means investing in our future (children), this is why the United Nations (UN) has designated every November 20th as Universal children’s day. The celebration helps to promote togetherness around the world, awareness of the problems children face in every corner of the globe and improve the welfare for all children. The establishment of the Universal Children’s Day could be traced to 1954 where the UN General Assembly adopted the ‘Declaration of the Rights of the Child’. In 1989 the ‘Convention on the Rights of the Child’ was also adopted by the UN General Assembly. The Children’s Day marks the celebration of both events. Every year, 30th July, 2019 is recognised as World Day Against Trafficking In Persons. United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) defines human trafficking as the act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring or receiving a person through the use of force, deception or other means for the purpose of exploiting them. The theme of this year's celebration is "A Call To Act Now". Despite the fact that almost every country has trafficking laws, trafficking still remains a global menance. Hence, the thrust of this year's celebration is UNODC call to the Governments of Nations to " Act Now" by taking urgent, expedient and practical action with the best interests of the victims of trafficking as the primary consideration. On the 22nd of March every year, the United Nations (UN) celebrates World Water Day. This year, 2019, the theme is: "Leaving No One Behind". This is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) goal 6: "Water For All by 2030". Water is a necessity of life, so much so that the body contains two-thirds water in various forms. Water is a major constituent of cells, tissues, organs and other body parts. Most of the food we eat is composed of water in varying degree, even the air we breath has some amount of moisture (water) in it. It is therefore safe to say that water is as essential as air, because water is life. Water is needed in our day to day activities, from drinking to cooking, washing, cleaning, bathing, etc. It is a stated fact that humans can survive up to seven days without food, but they cannot survive seven days without water. Changed Teachers Conference (CTC) is a Conference of teachers geared towards raising Role Models, Mentors and Change Drivers among Teachers who will in turn effect change in their schools, community, and the education system as a whole beginning from themselves. It is a one of SHADE-IN's programmes aimed at effecting lasting transformation in schools especially Public schools in Nigeria.  It is born out of the need to implement change in the school system using the Community Health Evangelism (CHE) model, which involves the community (in this case, the school), driving her own change. The maiden edition of the Conference seeks to validate the school's result of the survey conducted by SHADE-IN in some public secondary schools in Benin City.
